Look for toys that grow with your child. Not only does this lower the number of toys, but it also reduces waste and consumption. The best toys can be enjoyed at many ages. Vehicles are exciting for a younger child to move across the floor, while an older child can create roads and cities for them.
Look for open-ended toys. Toys that let the children's creativity and fantasy stay in focus will last longer than a play-directed toy which only has one way of play. We want children to develop in their play and this will happen when they can transform the play without changing the toy in their play.
"The more boring the toy, the better". This might sound harsh but its actually far from boring :)
