Now during autumn, the fruit trees in the gardens are usually dying. Maybe you are lucky enough to have an apple tree in your garden. Take the opportunity to bake a delicious apple pie together with the children. Getting to measure out ingredients, stir, and finally taste the batter usually makes it a success!

Crispy apple pie


5 apples
1 tsp cinnamon
150 g of butter
2 dl sugar
0.5 dl syrup

0.5 dl cream
2.5 dl oatmeal
1.5 dl wheat flour
1 tsp salt

Do like this

1.       Set the oven to 175°. Peel, core, and cut the apples into wedges. Place the wedges in a pie tin, approx. 24 cm in diameter. Sprinkle over cinnamon.
2.       Put butter, sugar, syrup, and cream in a saucepan. Let boil for 5 minutes.
3.       Stir in oatmeal, flour and salt. Pour the batter over the apples. Bake the pie in the middle of the oven for about 40 minutes. Serve with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.
