In 2019, we launched our first Ecoline toys. A series of environmentally friendly, ecological, and climate-smart toys made from bio-based raw materials: sugar cane. We do this because we also want to offer a slightly more environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative to you as an end customer.

These Ecoline toys are just like all our other toys non-toxic, recyclable, and 100% dishwasher safe. They are also just as soft and can withstand hard play. In other words, even these toys will be able to go on for generations, from children to children.

What does "a more environmentally friendly alternative" really mean then? Well, what distinguishes Ecoline from other toys in our range is that the oil has been replaced with sugar cane. This helps to reduce our environmental impact because we use less oil and emit less carbon dioxide.

Now it's 2022 and our sustainability journey has not ended or even stopped. On the contrary, we are investing more than ever in developing our production of toys, from start to finish, to achieve as good and fair a journey as possible. Today, our Ecoline series performs about 30% of our sales and the line increases every year. Last summer, for example, we launched an entire series of sand and water toys in Ecoline material.

However, we are constantly looking for new and more sustainable alternatives and in the long run, we also hope to be able to manufacture toys from recycled plastic. Our mission is to create a long-term play sustainably with the main goal of helping children in exploratory play. Viking Toys never compromises when it comes to durability, quality, and safety.
